Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that residents receive personalized care, including bathing, dressing, and oral care, while actively promoting their right to choice and independence. You will contribute to and carry out care reviews to ensure that residents' plans reflect their needs. Additionally, you will administer residents' medication in a safe and supportive manner, and lead and participate in social activities within the home. You may also be called upon to support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and to lead the home when more senior managers are not available.
