: The Wall Street Journal is seeking an enterprising reporter to cover policy and regional security in the Middle East, an essential role in our global geopolitical coverage. The wide-ranging beat includes responsibility for coverage of Islamic extremism and counter-terrorism as well as the rivalries driving conflicts in places such as Syria, Iraq and Yemen, and involvement of outside powers, such as Russia, in the region.The ideal candidate will have significant experience covering foreign policy and security in the Middle East. The ability to source deeply within the Defense Department, State Department and diplomatic corps is essential as is knowledge of the global security landscape.
