**About the Job**
The Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the full fleet of primary and secondary equipment across the assigned area in alignment with corporate objectives, with a span of control covering 1-2 locations and/or 50–99 assets. This role provides operational leadership for our Gaithersburg Hauling facility supporting a two‑shift operation.
At the Gaithersburg MD location, the manager oversees approximately 80 assets, with oversite of 12 – 13 employees.
This position requires a hands-on leader with strong management and people‑leadership capabilities, ideally paired with prior diesel technician experience. This is not a desk-only role; the ideal candidate will actively engage on the shop floor, working alongside technicians to ensure proper maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency.
The typical start time is 6:00 AM, though flexibility is required to support early‑morning crew‑outs or operational needs.
