Opportunity Description
POSITION SUMMARY
RIZZO International, Inc. is seeking an experienced geologist to support as-needed, field-based geotechnical and geologic investigations. This role is ideally suited for a highly experienced professional who can immediately integrate into active field programs, operate independently, and deliver high-quality subsurface characterization with minimal ramp-up.
The position is primarily field-focused and is expected to support drilling and investigation programs on a part-time or project-by-project basis, depending on workload and candidate availability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Provide on-site geological oversight during drilling operations, including continuous core logging and soil/rock classification at the rig and logging table
+ Perform real-time subsurface interpretation to support field decisions and adaptive investigation strategies
