Duties & Responsibilities
- Works with the Executive Housekeeper in the preparation and management of the Department’s operating budget.
- Supervises the implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures in relation to bedroom service, bathroom service, cleaning service, linen maintenance and public area cleanliness.
- Recommends changes to these standards and identifies training needs on an ongoing basis.
- Schedules daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly deep cleaning programmes.
- Maintains current and thorough knowledge of all housekeeping systems.
- Performs room allocations and room inspections; prioritises arrival rooms.
- Conducts routine inspections of all public areas’ cleanliness.
- Liaises with Front Office for guest and hotel requirements.
- Liaises with Engineering on guest room and public area defects.
- Ensures guest laundry is processed and delivered in a timely manner.
