We are supporting a local authority in the North West to appoint an experienced Senior Litigation Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive (with full practicing rights) on an interim basis.

The role involves managing a mixed criminal and civil litigation caseload , supporting service areas across the council and progressing matters with minimal supervision.

The role

• Handling a busy caseload of criminal and civil litigation matters from instruction through to resolution autonomously
• Advising officers on litigation risk, strategy and procedure
• Preparing pleadings, evidence and court documentation
• Managing Debt recovery and enforcement work
• Applications for injunctions and access to property which includes housing disputes
