Senior Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment) - 12 month FTC

Responsibilities

• Design and develop: Create innovative mechanical designs for products, components, or systems using CAD software and engineering best practices.
• Feasibility analysis: Evaluate the feasibility of design ideas and concepts based on cost, manufacturing limitations, and material properties.
• Materials selection: Choose appropriate materials for mechanical systems and components based on strength, weight, durability, and cost.
• Engineering calculations: Perform complex engineering calculations, such as stress analysis, thermal analysis, and rotordynamics to optimise designs and ensure reliability and safety.
• Collaboration with cross‑functional teams: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel to guarantee designs are manufacturable and meet project requirements.
