Senior Medical Laboratory Assistant - Laboratory Services

Under the direction of Management or designate the Senior Medical Laboratory Assistant (Senior MLA) performs various functions within the laboratory relating to the pre and post-analytical phases of testing. The Senior MLA is in a team lead role supporting the division/site with technical expertise, quality assurance, adherence to policy and practices and mentorship within the scope of employment of a Medical Laboratory Assistant. In collaboration with the Laboratory Supervisor or Technical Specialist, the Senior MLA may assist with the oversight and/or implementation of work processes, training and the redirection of resources to respond to fluctuations in operational workload.
