SA Steelworks has a Senior Operator position available in the Rolling Mill Department at AIRPORT INDUSTRIA – CAPE TOWN .

Shift Position

The role is a shift position requiring the candidate to complete a skills test; only candidates with an average of 70% can apply.

Responsibilities

• Accurately set up, adjust, operate and maintain machinery, stands, and mechanisms in the production line process.
• Conduct daily inspections of the relevant work area and report possible failures or unsafe working conditions.
• Maintain standard machine operating procedures while operating machinery.
• Perform general maintenance and cleaning of the work area/workstation.
• Enforce and practice housekeeping policies.
• Effectively monitor the production process.
• Analyze potential failures and communicate solutions in a timely manner.
