Senior Power Trader

Overview

The Senior Power Trader plays a key role in the EU Power and Certificates Trading Desk, acting across the CWE markets.

Responsibilities

• Construct trading strategies, take positions and manage exposures from both traded strategies and across the asset portfolio based on fundamental, weather and technical market analysis.
• Spot distortions between geographies, tenors and generation type and communicate the risks involved.
• Support the development of the desk’s capabilities, portfolio and fundamental model.
• Work with external and internal customers, and business development to bring in new structures or deal types to optimise exposures.
• Stay up‑to‑date on regulatory and market developments and ensure strict compliance.
• Coach and educate junior colleagues.
