What the role is
We are seeking an experienced and driven scientist to lead a multidisciplinary research and capacity‑building programme for preparedness against dangerous pathogens in the environment.
What you will be working on
You will work at the Environmental Health Institute, a public health laboratory under the National Environment Agency. In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary research projects to understand environmental transmission of infectious diseases, assess risks, and recommend mitigation measures. You will develop process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and oversee training and capacity‑building efforts to strengthen preparedness. You are expected to shape both field and laboratory capabilities whilst translating research insights into evidence‑based operations and policies.
