About the role
Steel Reef is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for its Calgary office. This role will support the safe and reliable operation of Steel Reef’s process facilities, with a primary focus on gas plant assets. Reporting initially to the Team Lead, Process Engineering, the successful candidate will have opportunities for progression, increased responsibility, and the ability to mentor and develop other process engineers.Key ResponsibilitiesLead troubleshooting of significant plant issues and provide timely technical support to field operationsDevelop and maintain process simulation models (HYSYS, ProMax, Symmetry Pipe) for key facilitiesProvide technical oversight for facility changes through the Management of Change (MOC) processManage small operations projects from initial scoping through executionApply and promote strong process safety and risk management practicesComplete technical studies on critical safety systems (e.g., overpressure protection, flare systems) and res...
