Senior Research Network Engineer

Position Summary


The Senior Research Network Engineer plays a critical role in designing, implementing, managing, and monitoring the dedicated High Speed Research Network (HSRN) and supports the research technology services (e.g kubernetes, research data storage), and the High Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure. The HSRN, research data storage, and HPC are components of NYU’s research computing infrastructure which includes state-of-the-art HPC clusters, research cloud, Secure Research Data Environments and a dedicated Research Network. Develop and optimize network solutions, improve network performance, security and scalability of the HSRN and related services provided, such as kubernetes, research data storage, etc. in order to enhance the capabilities of Research Technology’s program that includes Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, HPC, and Immersive resources and service portfolios.
