Senior Sterile Processing Technician

**Description**



The Senior Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for all task-based Central Services activities. Central Services activities include, but are not limited to: decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation, assembly and delivery of surgical and interventional procedure case carts, paring and replenishment of materials, and receiving and distribution of Central Services supplies. The Senior Sterile Processing Technician must be able to decontaminate and assemble surgical instrumentation using an automated Instrument Tracking System. Uses an electronic handheld ordering device and works with the Materials Coordinator to par, order, and replenish soft supplies in the surgical core, and CS packs storage area. Assembles the surgical case cart from a predetermined preference list; the case cart includes surgical instrumentation; peel packs, soft supplies, packs, and implants.
