Senior Technical Officer - Translational Genomics

The Opportunity

The translational genomics laboratory within the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Officer to deliver specialist expertise supporting next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows. The position involves planning, executing and optimising library preparation for targeted genomic and epigenetic assays using FFPE, fresh/frozen tissue and liquid biopsy samples. A key focus is maintaining efficient, high-throughput operations while ensuring rigorous quality control standards across all workflows.

Working closely with the Principal Investigator, research collaborators and laboratory teams, the Senior Technical Officer provides technical guidance, training and support in NGS methodologies and equipment use.
