Senior Technician : Infrastructure

Overview

As a Senior Technician: Infrastructure in the Nanoscience Building, you will report to the Technical Specialist and ensure adherence to organisational policies, procedures and health and safety regulations. You will support business development and advanced technical problem‑solving while maintaining specialist equipment and the building infrastructure.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive technical service to all Nanoscience users, including design, development, installation, commissioning, maintenance, service and repair of experimental components, assemblies and rigs.
• Use, monitor, repair, maintain and demonstrate a range of general and highly specialised technical equipment across the School’s laboratories to a high standard.
• Plan, design, develop, construct experimental systems, apparatus or equipment to meet teaching, research and related purposes.
