Position Summary

The Senior Property and Casualty Underwriter is responsible for overseeing and managing property and casualty business workflows, providing technical expertise and ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines. The role develops strategies for new business opportunities and portfolio retention and actively contributes to achieving business targets. They cultivate long-term broker relationships, while also supporting training for new staff in underwriting processes.

• Oversees and strategically manages workflows for new property and casualty business and renewals, showcasing advanced professionalism, technical expertise, and adherence to underwriting guidelines.
• Evaluates, prioritizes, and selects submissions and prices risks that will develop an underwriting profit for the carrier, refers or declines risks that present excessive risk.
