Server

POSITION SUMMARY: The server welcomes guests, provides a relaxing and fun environment for guests to have a meal. Position includes either serving drinks containing alcohol and/or pouring/mixing drinks with alcohol

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Taking food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude
• Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, or to respond to questions and complaints
• Inform guests of establishment specialties and features
• Knowledge of the menu including food and drinks, with ability to make suggestions
• Ensuring tables are enjoying their experience and acting to correct any problems
• Collecting payment, discounting properly, returning change accurately
• Help with food preparation when necessary i.e. sides, sauces, etc.
• Help coworkers when possible i.e. running food, answering phones, dressing salads, collecting dishes for bar...
