SHEET METAL FABRICATOR -- 1st SHIFT Metals USA -- Gregor Technologies Division is seeking a SHEET METAL UTILITY WORKER in Torrington, CT. Metals USA is a solid, growth oriented aluminum/stainless steel distribution center servicing the defense, aerospace and fabrication industries. Responsibilities:
- Sets up metal fabricating support equipment such as Pemsert, DA grinders and Timesaver as needed.
- Operates fabrication equipment using MIG and TIG welding machinery. Uses a variety of hand tools as required.
- Inspects and tests welds & equipment constantly. Checks for durability as well as meeting specified standards.
- Fabricates/Assembles the parts to the industrial customer specifications ensuring quality products.
- Applies knowledge of assembly to perform sheet metal fabrication.
- Deburrs, sands and polish finished materials.
- Completes production paperwork, follows shop system...
