**Job Title: Shop Helper**
**Location: Jacksonville, Florida, 32217**
**Shift: Monday - Friday 7am-4pm**
**Pay: $17/hour**
**Job Description**
The Shop Helper supports daily operations in a metal fabrication facility by grinding and deburring recently welded parts, handling materials, and safely operating a sit-down forklift to move aluminum, stainless steel, and other metals between welding and fabrication areas.
**Responsibilities**
+ Grind recently welded parts to achieve smooth, clean finishes in preparation for further fabrication or assembly.
+ Deburr metal parts to remove sharp edges and imperfections, ensuring parts meet quality and safety standards.
+ Operate a sit-down forklift to move aluminum, stainless steel, and other materials to and from welding and fabrication departments.
+ Perform general labor tasks in the shop, including assisting with material staging, part movement, and basic shop support.
