Paramedic

Salem Fire is currently establishing a Paramedic list for current and future Single Role openings. What you will do: The Single Role Paramedic performs all work consistent with the Paramedic certification level as specified by the Oregon Health Authority. Other duties include training, public education, equipment and station maintenance, and other related assignments. Paramedics work under the supervision of a Fire Captain. Paramedics do not supervise but may be the lead paramedic at the scene and as such will provide direction to others in the coordination of patient care. Incumbents in this position may provide training and orientation to newly assigned personnel or students.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
• Must pass the pre-employment background check which may include a medical assessment, psychological assessment, and drug test (including marijuana).
