Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Temp/Term Appointment Authority to Meet Critical Hiring Needs to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a military technician position with the 99t Readiness Division, Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA) 8 at Schenectady, New York. Responsibilities Repair small weapons by replacing obsolete parts and/or assembles. Analyze unit deficiencies to determine required organizational training. Use hand tools to make repairs and adjustments. List repairs on appropriate forms to indicate needed repairs. Performs two level Preventative Maintenance Checks and Service (PMCS) to include periodic gauging.
