Social Worker

Bayshore Therapy & Rehab is seeking passionate and caring Social Workers to support an innovative community crisis management program in Nova Scotia.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients, service providers and other professionals to collaborate and coordinate services.
• Assess the client’s adjustments to medical, emotional, psychological or social problems and the factors that affect them.
• Utilize a client-centered approach to identify, prioritize and monitor potential psychosocial problems and goals, and to de-escalate situations that could become a crisis.
• Deliver trauma-informed, client-centered crisis intervention.
• Advise clients/caregivers on the availability of community resources and contact agencies on their behalf when appropriate.
• Recommend and facilitate referrals to support services within the community.
