Software Developer - Weapons Direction Systems - Mid Level

**Job Description**

The position involves collaborating with a team of software and test engineers to update and migrate legacy software, used for Naval Ship Weapons Direction Systems, into a new hardware environment as part of a naval system mid-life modernization effort. The program for hardware modernization and software migration involves USN work and USN-supported Foreign Military Sales integration efforts.

This position will require working knowledge of Ada, a working knowledge of other languages like C and C , and a familiarity with the VxWorks Operating System (OS) environment. It also requires a demonstrated strong ability to solve complex computer problems, and a good understanding of the interoperability between various elements of a naval defense system.

The individual shall be a self-starter that will work independently as well as in a team environment, and provide valuable insights and creative and successful engineering strategies.
