Soils Lab Technician

What You'll Do Perform laboratory tests on construction materials, interpret test data, and prepare reports and/or summaries of test data under the direction of the laboratory manager Specific duties may be, but are not limited to soils laboratory testing such as: Atterberg limits, gradation analyses, swell testing, moisture content testing, visual classifications, unconfined compressive strength testing of soil and rock, and standard and modified proctor testing Additional responsibilities include data input and processing, compiling test results and other administrative work Assist in maintaining a clean and organized lab in compliance with QA/QC initiatives and accreditation requirements, including calibration of laboratory equipment and maintenance of calibration schedule and records May also assist with other laboratory functions as necessary and assist with field work as needed Work Environment: The employee may be exposed to weather conditions such as wet and/or humid environmen...
