Sourcing and procurement engineer

Position purpose
Support the Procurement team in identifying and conducting an initial assessment of alternative suppliers from India and other agreed markets, with a particular focus on components and materials for production.
Scope of duties - Task-based scope focused on sourcing and research.
· Conduct initial market research in India (and other indicated countries) to identify potential suppliers meeting quality and logistics requirements.
· Collect price quotations and basic commercial terms, including: MOQ, lead time, payment terms, Incoterms.
· Obtain basic supplier information, including company scale, certifications held, served markets, and references.
· Perform initial supplier screening and prepare short comparison summaries covering price, lead time, commercial terms, and key risks.
· Verify publicly available information about suppliers based on websites, company registers, B2 B platforms, and available online materials.
