*10 month position with the option to work summer (extended school year)*
What You'll Do
As a Special Education teacher for our preschool program, you will design and implement classroom program under the guidance of the director in alignment with the NYS Education Department mandates and NYC Department of Education’s regulations. You will design a classroom environment that is both motivating and stimulating for students.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
+ Provide weekly written plan to the administrator electronically
+ Design lesson plans based on the Units of Study, Creative Curriculum, and the diagnostic information from the IEP
+ Maintain periodic progress reports (Gold Teaching Strategies)
+ Attend CPSE/CSE meetings at appropriate time intervals during the school year
