Specialist - Advisor Strategy

Iron Ore Sales & Marketing, part of RT Commercial, is responsible for the distribution and placement of more than 330 million tonnes per annum of Rio Tinto iron ore. In 2024, Iron Ore delivered >$30b in revenue for RT, and this is expected to rise as our new mine in Guinea (Simandou) comes online. The iron ore market continues to evolve with both iron ore supply and steel mill landscape becoming more complex. The decarbonisation transition is also a key factor shaping our commercial strategies, as we partner with customers to support their decarbonisation goals. Our goal is to deliver superior margin performance through effective long term product placement and shorter-term tactical placement decisions.
