Specialist Clinical Psychologist

Overview

The service will provide specialist assessment, formulation and therapeutic interventions (directly to individuals or through consultation) to autistic adults with complex needs under the care of an existing SWLSTG service. The service supports autistic adults without a co‑occurring intellectual disability.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist clinical psychology service to autistic adults with complex needs at risk of admission under the Transforming Care Agenda, within a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention to clients and their care teams, including direct assessment and intervention with the client and indirect assessment, monitoring and intervention with staff or carers.
• Offer psychological consultation, advice and expertise to non‑psychologist colleagues, care staff and family carers.
