Specialist - Orthopaedics Surgery

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the orthopedic Department which provide surgical care including diagnosis, pre-operative care, all major and minor operative procedures in the field of orthopedic surgery and post-surgery care.
• A major portion of the incumbent's work will be the professional care of assigned patients and providing consultation on complex cases.
• Participates in the professional aspects of the Department to ensure that established standards of DOH JCI are met.
• Incumbent is under the general direction of the HOD and reports to and receives guidance from him.
• Works independently on technical and professional assignments, keeping the HOD informed of problems encountered and action taken.
• Ensure the established medical ethical and legal procedures are followed.
• Monitors the care of all patients receiving surgical treatment provided by the orthopedic Department to assure standards are met.
