Specialist Respiratory and Sleep Physiologist

The role is based at the Workington Diagnostic Centre (CDC) and involves routine and urgent lung function testing, home sleep studies, and CPAP counselling for patients with OSA and OHS. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Cardio-Respiratory Department, responsible for high‑quality diagnostic testing and patient communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and autonomously report routine and urgent lung function testing.
- Perform and score home sleep studies, manage initiation and follow‑up of CPAP therapy.
- Communicate complex information, including to patients with learning disabilities.
- Undertake competency assessment, staff training and act as a lead trainer for respiratory physiologists and allied health staff.
