Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a local government organization in Minnetonka, Minnesota for a Contract assignment expected to last 2–3 months. This role focuses on keeping cash activity accurate and up to date, supporting close activities, and resolving reconciliation issues across multiple accounting workflows. The ideal candidate brings strong Excel capability, sound accounting judgment, and the ability to work independently while serving as a dependable resource to the broader accounting team.

Responsibilities:
• Perform daily bank and cash balancing activities by reviewing prior-day transactions and confirming accuracy against internal records.
• Extract banking data, organize it in Excel, and match transaction details to accounting system activity to ensure complete reconciliation.
