Sr. Associate, Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

This position is responsible for supporting the design, layout, analysis, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices and systems for power switchboards and circuit breakers used in Navy-based electronic systems. The engineer applies practical mechanical engineering knowledge to develop and document mechanical designs, support product development efforts, and help resolve product or process issues for new and updated hardware. Under moderate supervision, this role works independently on moderately complex assignments and supports larger project efforts from concept through production. Responsibilities include 3D modeling, drafting, mechanical packaging, structural and thermal analysis support, interpretation of specifications, and implementation of customer and documentation requirements.
