Opportunity Description
**What you’ll do:**
The Senior Buyer is responsible for driving procurement, supplier management, and material planning activities to ensure uninterrupted material availability for the Chennai manufacturing plant. The role drives cost optimization, supplier performance improvement, inventory control, and adherence to Eaton's purchasing processes and compliance requirements.
This position requires deep expertise in direct material sourcing, ERP proficiency, strong analytical capability, and leadership in coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
A. Procurement & Purchase Order Management.
+ Procure direct materials in line with plant and corporate SCM procedures.
+ Review and process requisitions and convert them to purchase orders in MRP systems.
+ Manage PO updates for design or delivery changes and ensure accurate SAP data maintenance.
+ Ensure timely resolution of supplier‑related issues (delivery, claims, quality).
