Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations for a machinery and worktools organization in Poughkeepsie, New York. This fully onsite opportunity is a Long-term Contract position and is well suited for someone who enjoys balancing transactional accounting, reconciliations, and reporting in a fast-paced environment. The role will contribute across payables, receivables, journal entries, and month-end activities while partnering with internal teams to keep financial records accurate and current.

Responsibilities:
• Manage invoice processing, payment preparation, and check runs while ensuring accounts payable activity is recorded accurately and on time.
• Enter recurring and weekly journal activity, including interface-related postings, and maintain accurate general ledger support across entities.
