We are looking for a band 5 Staff Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team in our Endoscopy Department at Andover War Memorial Hospital.
Main duties of the job
To achieve a level of competence in all aspects of Endoscopy in order to work without direct supervision, enabling safe and appropriate staffing and skill mix. This includes developing a thorough understanding of all endoscopic procedures (including purpose, indications, contra-indications, performance, risks and complications), and provision of highly skilled assistance during endoscopic procedures.To become fully competent in clerking patients on admission to the unit for ALL endoscopic procedures performed, together with obtaining informed written consent, to ensure patients have a full understanding of the procedure(s) and associated risks.To assist in the development of departmental standards and protocols to ensure safe and ef...
