Staff Nurse - Primary Care Nurse

Provides direct patient care and coordinates patient care-related activities using the scientific process of nursing. Nursing care is given to adults and geriatric populations. Conducts various medical and diagnostic procedures including but not limited to performing nasal swabs for Influenza A and B as well as Respiratory Viral Panel testing. Administers Point-of-Care (POC) Rapid Strep tests and performs assessments for colour vision and visual acuity. Offers assistance in conducting Pap smear swabs within the limits of their scope of practice, and contributes to women's health examinations. Provides support in the removal of earwax, showcasing a diverse range of responsibilities in diagnostic testing and patient care.
