**Overview**

The month-end close is one of the most expensive, error-prone rituals in mid-market finance. Controllers spend weeks reconciling sub-ledgers, chasing approvals, posting manual adjusting entries, and rebuilding reports that should already exist. The ledger is never truly current — and the cost of that gap compounds across every decision made with stale data.

Intuit is building the agentic close engine that ends that cycle. The vision is a continuous, real-time financial close where AI agents reconcile transactions as they occur, compliance is maintained without manual intervention, and the Controller's role shifts from data processor to strategic reviewer.
