Responsibilities

Assist radiologists during diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures (e.g., fluoroscopy, angiography, biopsies, drainage, and contrast studies), ensuring patient safety, aseptic practice, smooth workflow, and effective clinical coordination with radiographers. Assess, prepare, and support patients before imaging procedures through comprehensive history-taking, vital signs assessment, allergy screening, IV cannulation, medication and contrast preparation, ensuring informed consent and providing clear patient education. Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, including sedation and contrast reaction surveillance, post‑procedure recovery, escalation of concerns to clinicians, and initiation of emergency response when required.
