Job Description
The Steel Drafter/BIM Modeler supports structural steel projects by creating detailed 3D models and producing accurate shop and fabrication drawings used by the fabrication shop to build steel components. This position offers close training and mentorship from a Sr. Steel Detailer, with a clear path to increased responsibility and the opportunity to manage multiple projects over time in a friendly, full-service steel fabrication environment.
Responsibilities
+ Build and maintain detailed 3D models for structural steel components and assemblies.
+ Produce accurate shop and fabrication drawings for beams, columns, plates, and connections.
+ Read and interpret architectural and structural design drawings and translate them into clear, buildable detailing packages.
