Stoker / Boiler Operator

Responsibilities

Step into a world of history and adventure with the Lady of the Lake, a timeless vessel that has graced Lake Whakatipu's waters since 1912. As a vital member of our team, you'll take on the role of a stoker, responsible for hand‑fuelling the fires and operating the engine and boilers that power the TSS Earnslaw. You will provide fuel for the TSS Earnslaw's fireboxes, attend to the boilers, engines, and auxiliary equipment, and respond to guest queries about the history and workings of the TSS Earnslaw.

Some early mornings and occasional flexibility are required. If you're dependable and skilled with a shovel, then you're exactly who we're looking for.

Qualifications

• Drivers licence (class 2 preferred)
• Mechanical and Engineering background is an advantage
• Physically fit and hardworking
• Proactive and willing to help in other areas
