Street Events Steward (fixed term)

Overview

The Street Events Stewards are on the front line of the biggest event of the Edinburgh Festivals. During the Fringe, the Street Events team manages vibrant street performance areas in the heart of the city, creating a carnival atmosphere that attracts thousands of locals and tourists. The team works directly with performers and the public to ensure the event runs smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Help with setting up and closing down the event each day
• Greet performers and ensure performance areas run on time
• Manage crowds to keep thoroughfares open
• Maintain cleanliness and keep litter‑free event areas
• Create a safe and fun environment for all event users

Team and Partnerships
