Opportunity Description
Karen Clark & Company (KCC) is seeking talented structural engineering professionals to join our growing team of catastrophe model developers. In this role, you will collaborate closely with scientists and engineers to enhance our global suite of advanced catastrophe models.
Expected Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000
Responsibilities
+ Develop and maintain building vulnerability models for a variety of natural hazards, including earthquakes, hurricanes, wildfires, floods, winter storms, and severe convective storms.
+ Conduct post-event damage surveys for natural disasters around the world, analyze collected data, and present findings and insights internally and to clients.
+ Stay current with building codes and construction practices across the United States and internationally.
+ Collect, compile, and analyze catastrophe loss data.
+ Perform validation tests on model-generated loss estimates.
