**Structural Welder Position**
**Job Description**
+ Ideally 1+ years of experience in a shipyard, the Navy, or marine industry working on submarines, carriers, Navy ships, or similar marine structures.
+ Perform structural welding and fabrication for both new construction and repair of submarine and ship components.
+ Utilize Pulse MIG (GMAW) and push button TIG (GTAW) welding processes to complete high-quality welds on various metals.
+ Interpret and follow blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to plan, sequence, and execute welding tasks accurately.
+ Cut, burn, and weld metals to fabricate, modify, and repair structural components and assemblies.
+ Prepare, clean, and fit surfaces and components prior to welding, ensuring proper alignment and fit-up.
+ Assemble, tack, and weld parts in flat, vertical, and overhead positions using processes such as FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW.
