Where You Will Work
This position is based at a large open-pit copper mining operation located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona, along U.S. Highway 191. The site has been in continuous operation for decades and includes multiple concentrators, crushed-ore leach pads and stacking systems, a run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system, solvent extraction (SX) plants, and electrowinning (EW) tank houses producing copper cathode.
Morenci is a unique mining community offering access to outdoor recreation such as hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, and parks. Housing may be available for eligible employees, or a monthly housing allowance may be offered for those required to work on-site, subject to assignment terms and client guidelines. Community amenities may include recreational facilities and family services depending on availability.
