Sub LVN Position
The job of Substitute (Sub) Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is for the purpose of providing a variety of health services to assigned students including first aid and emergency care. Sub LVNs perform specialized physical health care procedures and other procedures within scope of practice, for students receiving general education and special education services. Under the direction of a District Nurse, Sub LNVs may provide assistance with: health care referrals, mandated health screenings, immunization compliance and record-keeping services. Sub LVNs work at a variety of school sites across the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District in both elementary and middle school settings. Sub LVNs work a 7.0 hour day, generally between the hours of 7:30 AM- 3:30 PM depending on the start and end time of the specific site.
