Superintendent Rock Engineer

Job Description

A mine in the Northern Cape is looking for a Superintendent Rock Engineer to join their team. The appointed person will have the responsibility to supervise and manage the Strata Control Officers and Observers. They will also manage, maintain, and improve the rock engineering systems and conduct underground investigations and input into mine design.

Requirements:

•Grade 12

•Chamber of Mines Strata Control Certificate (Metalliferous)

•BSc Mining/Geology or B. Tech in Mining Engineering

•Chamber of Mines Rock Mechanics Certificate

•5 years’ experience as a Strata Control Officer in Mining Operations

•Minimum 6 months Supervisory experience
