About the role

Full‑time secondment until 5 March 2027, based at the Ōtepoti Site. The role requires leading, supporting and supervising a team of social workers across the Ōtepoti area. The team works closely with iwi, government and non‑government organisations to support tamariki and whānau. Key responsibilities include identifying professional development needs, ensuring team capability growth, managing workflow and ensuring timely decisions, reflecting OrangaTamariki values and aligning with the Practice Framework, Principles and Standards. The role also partners with peer supervisors and the wider leadership team across the region.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is an experienced social worker or supervisor with a recognised qualification by the Social Work Registration Board and full registration.
