We are QST Solutions , formerly Wabash Technologies de México , a manufacturing company based in Mexicali specializing in automotive electronic components and sensing technologies. The Direct Material Purchasing Specialist is responsible for creating and executing sourcing strategies, identifying cost-saving projects and resource optimization opportunities through negotiation or engineering changes, while also ensuring the proper performance of the supply chain and measuring and analyzing financial risks with suppliers.

Analyze and identify potential financial risks within the supply chain.
Identify cost-saving projects such as negotiations, VE (Value Engineering), VA (Value Analysis), etc.
Support the Materials Planning department with escalations during critical supply situations.
Measure and improve supplier performance (quality, deliveries, commercial terms, etc. – Implement VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) programs and direct material storage solutions.
