Surgery - Thoracic Physician

Medicus has an opening for a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon to assist the team at a medical center in south-central California with locum tenens coverage.

Opening Details:

• Level III Trauma
• Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, 7a-7a
• Setting: Hospital and some clinic coverage
• Average Patient Volume: 2-3 ICU patients, 1-2 admissions, and 2 callbacks
• Duties: Office hours, hospital rounds, heart team meeting, interacting with APPs, and surgery
• Required Procedures: Cardiac and thoracic procedures, including CABG, valve surgery, aortic aneurysm repair, TAVR, etc.
• Support Staff: Medical office staff, perfusionists, nurses, APPs, and anesthesiologists
• EMR: Cerner
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses
